Roman and Celts

Picture
Through an interactive workshop setting the class will learn about daily life in Britain almost 2000 years ago.

Covering all the Key Stage skills the pupils will be able to use a timeline to place the Celts and Romans in their historical context and then through looking at artefacts, archaeology and source materials will be able to understand  cultural, social, military and religious aspects that led to a way of life very different from their own.

Costumed interpretation will have the class handling artefacts, weapons and armour. Learning and writing some Latin and even finding out an interesting use for a sponge and a stick!
